In 1981 Philip Thomas, Stephen Thomas and Waren Barry opened a 20 table bar/restaurant named "Uncle Sam's" in Springfield, VA. It was one of the first restaurant/bars in Northern Virginia and quickly became the most popular. Three years later the name changed from "Uncle Sam's" to "Kilroy's." As the drinking age changed from 18 to 21, the owners wanted to change the bar image to a more family orientated restaurant/bar atmosphere.

Kilroy's does not operate as a franchise and remains to be privately owned. Our ability to keep a great and close relationship with our customers has our customers coming back. We cater to a diverse crowd and many of our original customers continue to bring their children and family members to our welcoming establishment. Hosting weekly and monthly events in our restaurant allows our customers to get together and enjoy their private functions ranging from business events, team lunches, birthdays, holiday celebrations, reunions, college parties and much more.

Customer satisfaction and high-quality food are our two main priorities. Our ability to differentiate our restaurants by emphasizing consistently high-quality food and service at a reasonable price has allowed Kilroy's to gain its outstanding reputation and brand name. Kilroy's is known for its excellent prime rib and its diverse entree and dessert menu. Kilroy's also has a beautiful and entertaining patio which is open all year long. We have hungry hour specials every day and our famous Wednesday Night College Karaoke specials. We also provide gift certificates for that special gift.

Over the past 28 years, Kilroy's has thrived as a result of their enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and much hard work from hundreds of the greatest people in the industry. At Crossfire, we specialize in serving fresh 100% ground beef burgers with a smile. We pride ourselves in our quality food and friendly service. We use 100% cholesterol free peanut oil to cook. We recognize the on-going health concerns in Americans today and that's why we take whatever measures we can to ensure that the flavor of our food does not compromise our guests' health. We offer turkey burgers and sweet potato fries as alternatives to your typical cook out meal of hamburgers and french-fries. We have indoor and outdoor seating. We serve beer and wine for DINING-IN or TAKE OUT.

We now offer FREE Wireless Internet to our customers. While our customers sit and eat, enjoy catching up on the latest news or watching your favorite athlete or sports team play on our 32' flat screen TV!  


Crossfire History:

Crossfire Fresh Burgers, Beer & Wine (aka Crossfire) opened up their doors in late August 2006. A family owned restaurant, we are dedicated to offering our customer's with the best quality service and burgers.  
 
To the owners of Crossfire, the fire represented fresh burgers, a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy a beer by our fireplace, and the energy that lights up the DC metropolitan area.  The owners have resided and worked in this area for almost twenty years and have crossed paths with many visitors of the nation's capital.  For the owners, welcoming visitors to the area means lighting up a fire and starting up the grill to welcome guests far and near with a fresh and hearty burger. 
 
Ironically, a few months after opening their doors, a small fire erupted inside the restaurant after hours on December 1st, 2006 which caused them to close the restaurant for almost a month while the damages were assessed and restored.  Even through the hardships of the restaurant business Crossfire Fresh Burger, Beer & Wine is still going strong as its two year anniversary is approaching!  Now the fire also represents determination and perseverance.
 
Crossfire Fresh Burgers, Beer & Wine has the most dedicated team of employees that strive to ensure that each and every customer's visit is the most pleasant.
